SUMMER SEASON

PUERTO PIRAMIDES

DECEMBER TO MARCH

Although the whales have departed, the charm and magic of our small coastal town continues to attract visitors during the summer. People from the region and from various cities across the country and abroad come to Puerto Piramides looking for some quiet time by the beach, which offers charm and tranquility to every sea lover.

Days are long, as the sun rises shortly after 4:30 in the morning and sets after 9:30 pm. The bright blue waters of our bay attract visitors and locals to perform aquatic and nautical activities. The bay of Puerto Piramides is the ideal place to go kayaking, or on a standup paddle, snorkel or simply enjoy a refreshing swim.

You can also access more remote and less crowded beaches such as Playa de la Piedra Guacha (Lonely Rock) and Playa Las Cuevas (Caves Beach), a few minutes walk from the town.

Summer in Puerto Piramides

The town’s beach is sandy and at low tide it is very wide, at high tide the water is warmer and has the ideal temperature for swimming and for the little ones to enjoy.

The summer season begins in December, after the festivities, when visitors from all over the country come to enjoy our beautiful beach and water sports such as swimming, kayaking, diving, and boat tours.

In addition to the aquatic and beach activities, you can enjoy the observation of marine wildlife: sea lions, more than 20 species of seabirds and occasionally dolphins and orca whales.

Tip

The hotel occupancy peak occurs in January, so it is essential to book in advance.
